We photographed fifteen of our collections in one studio shoot. Each is named after a city or region of China, and each now has its own page with a photo gallery and a short video.
How we photographed them
We wanted the photos to show what matters when you choose an upholstery fabric: texture, colour and how the cloth moves. So the collections are shown in the same few ways:
- draped over a sofa, to see how the fabric falls;
- hanging in long folds, to see the colour in depth;
- twisted into a swirl, to see the surface in light and shadow;
- in close-up, to see the structure of the weave;
- as a set of swatches or on a sample hanger, to see the colours side by side.
The dé labels on the samples show the collection name and the colour number. The short videos show each fabric in movement.
Fifteen collections at a glance
- Warm and quiet neutrals: Anqing (open basket weave), Ningbo (soft twill), Shaoxing (two-tone basket weave), Suzhou (fine dotted texture).
- Velvety and rich: Beijing (raised vertical relief), Changchun (wide cord-like ribs), Tianjin (honeycomb texture), Wuhan (diagonal chenille-look), Xi'an (soft melange plush).
- Soft and plush: Xining (looped bouclé-look), Xizang (brushed-look surface).
- Clean and graphic: Linping (flat, linen-like weave), Weihai (crisp open basket weave).
- Full of colour: Jiaxing (pebbly basket texture), Yunnan (small pebble texture in bright colours).
Texture and colour words describe what is visible in the photos.
