Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data dé Fabrics Group processes when you use this website or contact us, why we do so, and which rights you have.
Who is responsible
The controller for this website is dé Fabrics Group, operated by SHANGHAI DE TEXTILE LIMITED, Room 841, Building B, Hongqiao World Center, No. 1588 Zhuguang Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai 201799, China.
For all privacy questions and requests, email us at admin@fabricgroup.cn.
Enquiries by contact form, email, WhatsApp or WeChat
When you send us an enquiry through our contact form we process your name, your company, your email address, the destination country, the type of enquiry you choose, the articles and colour numbers from your Selection, the content of your message, the page language you used and the page from which you sent the form. We also record that you agreed to the use of your details and which version of this policy applied. If you write to us via email, WhatsApp, WeChat or Instagram, we also process the contact details of that channel.
We store each enquiry in our enquiry system and send it to our sales team by email, so that we can answer it and follow up. We use this data only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare offers, samples and orders. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Security and spam protection
To protect our forms against spam and abuse, our server records the IP address, browser identification (user agent), time and result of each form submission, and checks whether the domain of the email address you enter can receive email. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
These records are kept only as long as needed to detect and investigate abuse and are then deleted or overwritten automatically.
Dealer portal accounts
For authorised dealers we store a username, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). After each sign-in we email a notification with the time and IP address of the sign-in, so you can spot unauthorised access. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Cookies
We use a few cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work — for security, your language choice, sign-in and to remember your cookie choice. They do not require consent.
When you add an article or a colour to your Selection, we store the article codes and colour numbers in a cookie on your device, so the list is still there when you send your request. It contains no other information and is set only when you use the Selection.
Analytics cookies are only set if you choose “Accept analytics”. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw consent, the analytics cookies are deleted.

Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to understand how visitors use our website (for example which pages are viewed and whether a contact enquiry was sent). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes pseudonymous identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location and your interactions with the site.
Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the applicable cookie rules). Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months.
Hosting, email and fonts
Our website runs on a rented server operated for us by a hosting provider, and our email is provided by Microsoft 365. These providers process data only on our behalf and according to our instructions.
Fonts, videos and all other resources of this website are served from our own server; your browser does not contact third parties when you visit us, unless you accept analytics.
Transfers outside the European Union
Our company and our sales team are based in China. When you contact us, your enquiry is processed in China, a country for which the European Commission has not adopted an adequacy decision. We transfer this data because it is necessary to answer your request and to take the steps you asked for (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).
How long we keep data
We keep enquiries as long as needed to answer them and to follow up on the business relationship that results from them. Enquiries that are closed without a business relationship are deleted 24 months after our last contact, unless statutory retention periods require us to keep them longer. Messages that our filters identify as spam are deleted after 30 days. Dealer accounts are kept for as long as the account exists.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise your rights, email us at admin@fabricgroup.cn. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work.
