About dé Fabrics
Who is dé Fabrics?
dé Fabrics (dé Fabrics Group) supplies woven upholstery and sofa fabrics to the furniture trade. Our offices are in Shanghai and Jiaxing, China, and our roots are in a family business. Our focus is sofa fabrics. About us
Do you sell to private customers?
No. We work with the trade only: furniture manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, dealers and brands. If you are looking for a sofa for your home, please ask a furniture retailer.
Where are you based?
We have offices in Shanghai and in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China. You will find the addresses on our contact page and the company details in our legal notice.
Which fabrics do you supply?
Woven upholstery and sofa fabrics. On our website you will find our woven range, the New series 2026 (DE8D01–DE8D26), fifteen collections from our studio shoot and colour cards for many articles.
Samples
Can I get samples?
Yes. You can request samples of any article on our website. Add articles and colour numbers to your Selection, or list them in the contact form, with your quantities and destination. We confirm the sample format and any courier cost with you before dispatch.
What do samples cost?
That depends on the sample format and on where they are going. We confirm the sample format and any courier cost with you before we send anything.
Do you have colour cards?
Yes, for many articles, including DE2203, DE2217, DE351, DE9199 and others. A colour card shows every colour of an article side by side, each numbered. See the colour cards and ask us about the articles you are considering.
Can I see the New series 2026 before the data is published?
Yes. Technical details are coming soon; until then, samples let you see the new articles in your hands. Request samples or ask our team for the data that is available.
Quotes and orders
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
On request. The MOQ depends on the article and the colours. Tell us the article, colours and quantity you need, and we include the MOQ in your quote.
How are your prices calculated?
Prices depend on the article, the quantity, the colours and the Incoterm. Request a quote and tell us your destination.
What is the lead time?
On request. When your order is confirmed (PO/PI), we reserve stock or start production and share the timing with you.
Do you hold stock?
Stock is on request for each article. At order confirmation we reserve stock or start production, and we share the timing with you.
How do I place an order?
We work in five steps: 1. we align on specs, aesthetics, volumes, destination and budget; 2. we suggest fabrics, send samples and share pricing and terms; 3. the PO/PI is confirmed, and we reserve stock or start production and share timing; 4. batch checks and order status notes; 5. documentation, shipping and after-sales support. How we work
How do you check quality?
Quality checks are step 4 of how we work: batch checks and order status notes. If your order has specific requirements, include them in your brief and we discuss them with you.
Shipping and Incoterms
Which Incoterms do you offer?
EXW, FOB, CFR (C&F) and CIF. Our guide Incoterms explained shows who pays for each step and where the risk passes.
Which port do you ship from?
The port of loading is named in your quote. If you need it earlier, for example to plan with your forwarder, contact us.
Can you quote for my country?
Tell us your destination when you ask for a quote. We quote for your quantity, destination and Incoterm.
Which shipping documents do you provide?
Documentation is arranged according to the agreed terms, as part of step 5 of how we work. Tell us which documents your import requires when you ask for a quote.
Product information
What do the letters in compositions such as "5%W 20%A 75%P" mean?
They are fibre abbreviations. We show compositions exactly as published. Ask us for the full fibre names of any article.
Is the weight per square metre or per running metre?
Weights are shown exactly as published. If the basis matters for your calculation, ask us to confirm it for the article you are considering.
Why do some tests say "Awaiting verification"?
We list the test methods that apply to an article, such as Martindale abrasion or light fastness, but we show a result only once it has been verified. Ask us for the documentation available for the article. Our glossary explains what each test measures.
Why do some articles have no technical data?
Two reasons. For the New series 2026 we are preparing the data: "Technical details coming soon — request samples or ask our team." Some other articles are online with photos only so far; their pages say "Details on request".
Why are colours numbered instead of named?
So that there is never any doubt about which colour you mean. Quote the article code and colour number in every request, for example "DE2505, Colour 14".
Can you send test reports or certificates?
Please ask us for the documentation available for the specific article you are considering. We share data and documentation with your sample request or quote where available.
Custom development, private label and dealers
Can you develop a custom fabric for us?
Yes. We create what you need — custom weaves, custom colours. Send us your brief: a reference fabric or photo, colour targets, the end use, volumes and destination. Custom development
Do you offer private label?
Yes. You can build your own upholstery fabric range on our woven articles. We keep your designs and business information confidential, can prepare customised catalogues, and confirm the MOQ on request. Private label
How do I become a dealer?
Apply through our dealer programme page. Tell us about your company, your markets and your current range. Prices and terms are discussed with you when you apply; the price list is on request.
