Suzhou 苏州

Suzhou has a fine, regular micro-texture: tiny raised dots across a soft, matt surface. From a distance it reads as plain; up close the dots give it depth. The colours are soft and muted: linen beige, sand, camel, light grey, silver, taupe, khaki-olive and blue-grey. In the studio shoot it hangs in straight, even folds, drapes from a sofa onto a wooden floor and fills a dé sample hanger in graded tones. An understated collection with a calm, tailored mood.
