Anqing 安庆

Anqing is a basket-weave fabric with a clear, open structure. Up close you can see the small squares of the interlacing; from a distance the surface looks calm and even, with a soft sheen. The colours are warm neutrals: ivory, cream, light grey, sand and camel, deepening to chocolate brown, mid grey and charcoal. In the studio photos the cloth falls in soft folds over a sofa and twists into a tight swirl without losing its shape. A quiet, natural collection that sits easily in a neutral interior.
